Try on a traditional Japanese kimono and learn more about former restaurant Kaneyu.
Kimono Experience at Kaneyu
Kaneyu is a historical restaurant that served the elite back in the day. During the heyday of Noshiro City’s lumber industry, it was a popular place for important business meetings. Business deals would be made while drinking sake and eating extravagant meals.
Today, guests can try on a kimono and learn more about Japanese culture through a guided tour of the facility. The Japanese-style architecture, made with 200-year-old Akita cedar coupled with a traditional garden, is the perfect place to walk around and take pictures.
