Snowshoeing at the foot of Shirakami Mountains – one of Japan’s first-ever world heritage sites!

This snowshoeing activity in Fujisato Town will take you on a memorable journey through untouched old beech and Akita cedar trees in proximity to the Shirakami Mountains. Warm up along the way with coffee brewed from Shirakami’s pristine waters and toasted marshmallows. Afterwards, head to the nearby Yunosawa Hot Spring Village for a warm and relaxing soak. Enjoy hearty local meal at Roadside Station Mori-no-Eki before or after the activity.
