In light of the recent torrential rain disaster in Akita Prefecture that took place on 15 July 2023, the Sandcraft 2023 in Mitane festival originally scheduled for 29 and 30 July, 2023 has been rescheduled to be held as a one-day event on Saturday, 29 July 2023.
