Winter will be upon us soon, so here are the latest updates regarding road and trail accessibility in the Akita Shirakami area.

Passing through the Dairakyo Valley, access to Kurumidai camping ground, Dakedai Forest, Tanashiro Marsh, Mt. Fujisato-Komagatake’s Kuroishizawa Trail, and Tsurubeotoshi Pass will be closed for winter until next spring.

OpenLeads to Juniko Lakes and Nihon Canyon which are scheduled for winter closure from December 2022 until next spring. Refresh Village will remain closed. Operation of the Juniko snow hiking course for this winter remains undecided.
