Sandcraft in Mitane Festival

Every year various artists come together to build impressive sand sculptures along the popular sunset beach Kamayahama Beach in Mitane Town. Usually held at the end of July, Sandcraft in Mitane not only showcases these impressive sand sculptures but also features an entertaining line-up of performances and contests, a row of delicious local food stalls, and a fireworks finale. Join in on some fun in the sun.

*Sand sculptures will be lit up every night until the end of August.

Visitors are required to pay this environmental maintenance cooperation fee of 500 yen at the entrance on the day of the festival. It will be used to fund community efforts to keep Kamayahama Beach clean and beautiful for everyone.
