Lavender Fields at Ponpoko Yama Park

Between June and July, the lavender fields of Ponpoko Yama Park are in full bloom. Come and take pictures as you walk through this fragrant, and far less crowded flower field.
The park also includes a big playground for children, picnic areas, and an indoor play space. On-site bungalows can also be reserved for lodging through the Happo Tourism Association (located at Ponpoko Yama Park).
Free parking and restrooms are available on the premises. Located off of Route 101, this park is a great pit stop for those driving along Akita’s coast.
