Ajiro Weaving
Categories:   Art/Crafts
Ajiro weaving is a delicate technique that weaves thin strips of various woods to create beautiful, colorful designs in ceilings, walls, tea trays, and lanterns.
It can be seen at Kaneyu in Noshiro City, and at Akita Airport. In fact, the ajiro weave used in a wall of Akita Airport was designed and produced by Noshiro woodworking company, Marumatsu Meimoku.
