Registration for the 2025 Fujisato Classic Buna Forest Run is now officially open!

1. Half Marathon (21 km): 200 participants: ¥5,500
2. 8.8 km race: 100 participants: ¥4,500
3. 3 km Parent-Child Marathon: 30 pairs: ¥4,500

※ Participation fee includes: commemorative gift, certificate of completion, injury insurance, hot spring bath voucher, lunch ticket, sports drinks, and more.

◼️ What makes this marathon special?

The Shirakami Sanchi Buna Forest Marathon isn’t just a race—it’s an adventure in nature.

The 21km course is 80% uphill, with a total elevation gain of 250 meters. Runners will conquer two mountains, navigating the challenging terrain and experiencing the thrill of a trail run.

The course features 2.4km of uphill, a 1.2km tunnel, and a downhill section by a reservoir, offering unique challenges and surprises along the way.

This marathon lets you run through the heart of nature, pushing your limits while enjoying the breathtaking scenery of the Shirakami Sanchi.

Beyond the tough course, the local residents’ enthusiastic support is a major highlight of the race. The sound of taiko drums and cheers echoing through the mountains will make you feel the warmth and encouragement of the villagers.

This marathon isn’t just about challenging yourself—it’s an unforgettable experience.
