Floats at Tenku no Fuyajo.

Japan’s tallest lantern castle, Tenku no Fuyajo, returns in early August for its annual grand celebration!

On the day of the festival, two giant main lanterns will make a spectacular appearance: “Karoku,” standing 17.6 meters tall and inspired by Nagoya Castle, and “Chikasue,” the tallest lantern in Japan at 24.1 meters. These colossal lanterns, along with sub-lanterns and colorful parade teams, will march through the city streets, creating a festive and unforgettable summer night.

While the event is free to attend, those who wish to enjoy the best viewing experience—with access to the official parade shuttle and live commentary—can reserve paid seating options.
