Enjoy a relaxing camping experience surrounded by beautiful scenery at the park’s picturesque campsite!
Ishikura Mountain Nature Park
Ishikura-yama Nature Park sits atop Mt. Ishikura at an elevation of 143 meters. The park features an observation deck, a campground, and walking trails. Depending on the route chosen, hikes can range from about 30 minutes to 1.5 hours, making it suitable for visitors of all fitness levels.
Mt. Ishikura has been designated a Special Wildlife Protection Area and offers distinct seasonal scenery: cherry blossoms in spring, a cool retreat in summer, vibrant foliage in autumn, and sweeping snowy landscapes in winter. The park is a haven for nature lovers year-round.

One of the top recommendations is to hike to the summit on a clear day. From there, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views that include the World Heritage-listed Shirakami Sanchi and Mt. Kanpuzan on the Oga Peninsula—truly a sight to behold.
After your hike, be sure to stop by the Moritake Onsen area at the foot of the mountain. Known for its unusually high salinity, the hot springs here offer a deeply soothing experience for both body and mind.
