The 36th Oshima Fireworks Festival 2022
Oshima island in Happo returns with its stunning fireworks display this summer!

At this annual summer fireworks festival, around 1000 stunning fireworks are launched over the Sea of Japan from a small island named ‘Oshima’ located off the coast in Happo Town, Akita prefecture. It has been 3 years since the last festival, so the locals in Happo and the surrounding Akita Shirakami area are all quite excited to see them this year. Plan ahead and arrive early to enjoy the amazing sunset views over the Sea of Japan!
