Winter’s around the corner which means some parts of the Akita Shirakami area will be inaccessible by car!

Parts of Fujisato’s route 317 is now closed. Winding through the Dairakyo Valley, access to Kurumidai camping ground, Dakedai Forest, Mt. Fujisato-Komagatake, and Tsurubeotoshi Pass will be closed until next spring.

Road access to the Juniko Lakes and Nihon Canyon will close on November 30.
