Everyday is beginning to feel a little warmer and much of the snow has melted. Route 317 which goes through Fujisato town and onto Aomori prefecture is now partially open.

Dairakyo valley, Dakedai forest, and Mt. Fujisato-Komagatake (although a little snowy) are now ALL accessible! For those currently in Akita, enjoy a scenic and relaxing drive through the northern countryside.

The second gate, which will give access to the rest of Route 317 leading into Aomori prefecture will open on May 29.
