Categories:   Eats/Treats, Things to Do
Kiritanpo is a very popular dish from Akita Prefecture. It is made of pounded rice that is molded around a stick to form a long cylindrical shape. In winter specifically, many Akita locals enjoy eating kiritanpo in a hot pot to warm up.
During this cooking lesson, you will make grilled kiritanpo covered in a sweet miso paste, another popular kiritanpo dish. Enjoy cooking with locals at a farmer’s restaurant in Fujisato Town! Group lessons are also available.
